Mufti Usama: Mufti Usama was brought up in Canada where he finished his Hifz from Jamia Ajax ,then he graduated from Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi, and then pursued Takhasus fil Ifta (Mufti Course) under the supervision of Mufti Taqi Usmani.After spending 11 years in learning the Islamic sciences, in order to gain hands-on experience of Islamic finance he has worked for different Islamic commercial banks and currently serves as a Shariah Board Member for Bank Afalah Islamic. He is also a Shariah advisor to different Fintechs and publically listed companies. Mufti Usama also holds an MBA from KSBL.
Tahmyna Qazi: Ms. Qazi has a Master’s in Business from Institute of Business Administration, the University of Karachi in Pakistan and from Manchester University in the U.K.. She joined Faysal Islamic Bank as a senior vice president in Risk Management where she handled a portfolio of $800 Million.Ms. Qazi has a mix of banking, finance, administration, accounting and management experience, both in the corporate and the non-profit sectors. She has been active in the Islamic Finance sector.She has lived and worked in the U.K., Thailand, Pakistan, Canada and the U.S. and presently resides in Chicago.
Rehan Saeed: Rehan Saeed Khan is an Islamic Finance professional, speaker and instructor who helps Canadian organizations in Shariah-compliant product development.Mr. Khan has a CPA from Maine, USA, an MBA in Islamic Banking and Finance from the International Islamic University of Malaysia, In Malaysia, while working on his Masters, he worked as a research analyst and trainer for Kuwait Finance House (KFH), one of the largest Islamic banks in the world. During that time he trained over 100 bankers in Islamic Finance.His area of specialization is product structuring and training, especially re-engineering of conventional financial products into Shariah-compliant equivalents.He has successfully developed various Shariah-compliant mortgage, leasing, and investment instruments over the last ten years.
